Artificial Intelligence

The European AI Act is here! As of 2nd Feb 2025 ALL educators, admin & support staff in European education are required to have been trained on AI. I run training for educators, schools and colleges that will cover off the requirements, which will be enforced starting in August this year. The ACT also applies to many businesses too!

Courses available

My AI sessions are typically structured around a 3-hour online half-day. These can be delivered as stand-alone bookings or as a series, and all sessions can be tailored to your specific requirements so we add value to your staff and particular needs.

I’m also happy to create new sessions if there’s an aspect of AI use you would like to explore that isn’t on my existing session list

Each session is grounded in a webpage produced in Notion (a fabulous AI tool that I highly recommend). This webpage gives all participants access to all the tools we use and explore during the session.

Sessions are highly interactive - I demonstrate the use of a tool or technique, then we break out and encourage participants to explore the tool themselves, then reconvene to discuss and learn from the group experience.

This experiential form of learning is very effective at transferring knowledge, overcoming fear and resistance to using new tech, providing an engaging and interactive learning journey for all.

  • An introduction to AI with demonstrations of major AI tools and how they work.

We look at ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Perplexity Gemini & NotebookLM (plus any others that come up in discussions)

How to best set up the tools

Which are “safe” to use and how to configure them

What types of tasks can be done with which tools

The benefit of using multiple tools together

Multi-modal use of AI - not just text but voice, images and video

  • How to interact with current AI tools and chatbots to get the most out of them

  • How to leverage AI tools to write articles, reports, and even books. Using a structured approach to the writing process, we explore current AI tools and see how they can speed up & enhance the writing process.

  • This session looks at the many ways AI can take your ideas and transform them into engaging modes of presentation material.

Fabulous slide decks, interactive documents and websites, audio, video - there are so many ways AI can help you present your ideas in compelling and engaging ways.

  • In this session we explore the myriad of AI tools that can now spupercharge your research.

Whether you are researching for business, academic studies or personal pleasure, the AI tools can now locate and connect material faster than you would believe, making the time consuming research process a thing of the past!

  • In this session we look at how assessment modalities can be revised in our post-AI world.

Students ARE using AI whether we like it or not, so how do we provide better ways to our students to demonstrate mastery and skills when ChatGPT can write term papers?

  • A practical session where we create a learning session from scratch using a number of different AI tools to research, structure and then present materials ready for student engagement.

    Great for teacher CPD!

  • This session provides a facilitated and structured discussion for participants to explore ethical issues they are facing in the use of AI in their particular situations.

I’ve run this with educators, students and staff in government agencies - always a worthwhile few hours exploring and discussing how this powerful technology can be harnessed to best effect in an ethical manner.

  • A half-day session exploring the capabilities of Microsoft CoPilot with examples of common business tasks and processes that can be optimised using this powerful AI.

  • A half-day exploration of all the powerful ways AI is now integrated into the Google eco-system. Gemini, NotebookLM, Google AI Studio - there’s so much to look at - and all powerful, accessible and ready for anyone to start using.

  • A half-day introduction to vibe coding - creating web apps using tools such as Google’s AI Studio, CANVA Code, Claude, Lovable, Replit. Practical, hands-on - a fun and experiential way to dip your toe into the fascinating world of creating your own apps using AI. No programming experience required!

  • Would you like to learn how to add an AI chatbot to your website, like the one down in the right hand corner of the screen. A great way to answer potential customer’s questions and help drive enquiries. This half-day session will show you exactly how to do it for your site.

  • I created and deliver this Level 7 module as part of the Institute of Bankers Professional Certificate on AI Fundamentals in Financial Services. Similar modules could be delivered and tailored as needed.

Basic

My basic day rate is €1,000 per day, or €500 for a half-day. Reduced rates can be discussed for charities and non-profits.

Courses that are already prepared can be delivered with just the delivery time built into the price, so there is no preparation time to add.

Tailored

All my courses can be tailored to suit the specific needs of your audience.

If this approach is adopted, we will normally have an initial free half-hour discussion to outline the needs from the training or consultancy engagement, and to map out a discovery process to include learning about your needs, preparing the materials and then delivering the training or consultancy.

I will prepare a formal proposal document, and we will agree a cost for preparation and delivery broken down into day or half-day amounts. Payment is after delivery, within 30 days.

My company

My company is Zuben Ltd, and I am registered for VAT (IE9842954N) and hold full public liability cover and tax clearance.

I invoice through Fenero who provide accounting services to contractors and businesses.
